3D LASER CUTTING
3D laser tube cutting: from your file to a weld-ready part
We cut your tube up to 24 inches (610 mm) directly from your 3D drawings, with no file rework. Clean, dross-free edges, ready to weld — no deburring to allow for.
Request a quoteWhat does the 3D laser cutting machine do?
It cuts directly from your 3D file, up to 24 inches (610 mm): complex profiles, branch openings, cut-outs and bevels, with no intermediate step of file rework or manual marking out on the tube.
Why the scoop makes the difference on small diameters
On small diameters we place a scoop inside the tube during cutting. It collects the dross as it forms instead of letting it fall inside the tube. You get back a part you do not have to clean before assembly — which, on a process line or food-grade piping, removes an entire operation and the risk of residual contamination that goes with it.
The scoop can be used up to Ø 254 mm: collection over 700 mm of length up to Ø 55 mm, and over 2000 mm of length from Ø 55 mm to Ø 254 mm. Above that diameter, cutting is done without the scoop.
What does it save you?
No deburring, no manual marking out, no internal cleaning on small diameters, and shorter assembly times on site — the part arrives ready to weld.
Which file formats do you accept?
STEP and IGES. The 3D file is required in order to quote; a 2D PDF drawing is useful alongside it for checking.
What should you send us for a quotation?
Your file, the grade, the tube size, the quantity, the tolerances expected and the surface finish required.
What don't you do?
This service covers laser cutting only. Bending, welding and assembly are not included — they belong to the project piping package, to be combined with this service if needed.
Frequently asked questions
- Up to what diameter do you cut?
- Up to 24 inches (610 mm).
- Does the part need deburring after cutting?
- No: edges are clean and dross-free, ready to weld.
- Can you work from a 2D drawing?
- The 3D file (STEP or IGES) is required in order to quote. A 2D PDF drawing is useful alongside it for checking, but does not replace the 3D file.
- Up to what diameter does the anti-dross scoop work?
- Up to Ø 254 mm: collection over 700 mm of length up to Ø 55 mm, and over 2000 mm of length from Ø 55 mm to Ø 254 mm. Above that, cutting is done without the scoop.
