STAINLESS STEEL FITTINGS
Stainless steel fittings
Elbows, tees, reducers and sanitary fittings in stainless steel, in the same dimensional ranges as the matching tube. One regulatory point applies specifically to butt-welding fittings originating from China and Taiwan — see below.

What is a stainless steel fitting?
A stainless steel fitting is a piping component that provides a change of direction, diameter or branch on a tube network — elbow, tee, reducer, coupling — assembled by butt-welding, threading or a removable sanitary connection depending on the application.
How to choose it?
The connection method drives the choice: butt-weld for permanent process piping (ASME B16.9, EN 10253-4), threaded for a removable small-diameter connection (ASME B16.11), sanitary (clamp, SMS, DIN) for food and pharma where frequent disassembly for cleaning is required.

Available grades
Fittings follow the same grades as the tubes they connect: standard austenitics from partner stock, duplex and nickel alloys on request for more demanding networks.
Applicable standards
ASME B16.9 and EN 10253-4 cover butt-weld fittings; ASME B16.11 threaded fittings; DIN 32676, ISO 2852 and SMS 3017 sanitary fittings.

Partner stock or mill?
Fittings follow the same partner stock / mill logic as the tubes they connect to.
From partner stock: 48 hours for urgent needs, 5 working days as standard.
We go through the mill when volume and lead time make sense — typically container-load quantities, sometimes less, with a lead time of a few months including transport. That arbitration is ours to make: when buying at source works out cheaper for you, we say so.
Frequently asked questions
- What is the anti-dumping context on stainless fittings?
- Implementing regulation (EU) 2023/809 imposes a definitive anti-dumping duty on butt-welding stainless steel fittings originating from China and Taiwan (NC codes ex 7307 23 10 and ex 7307 23 90). SPS applies no origin restriction by default: it is arbitrated with the customer before quoting, based on their actual need. See the anti-dumping page in the steel import regulation cluster for detail.
- Are your fittings always of European origin?
- No, there is no default rule. SPS sources based on the best price/lead-time/compliance trade-off for each customer, and explicitly flags any known regulatory origin constraint, such as the anti-dumping context above.
- Do you offer fittings in non-standard dimensions?
- Yes, on request — describe the dimension you need in the quote request if it is not in the table above.
