A tee creates a branch on a piping line, equal or reducing; a reducer changes a line's diameter, concentric or eccentric depending on the level constraint. Same standards and dimensional ranges as the elbow.

What is a stainless steel tee or reducer?

A tee is a three-way fitting that creates a perpendicular branch on a piping line, at equal or reduced diameter on the branch. A reducer connects two different diameters on the same axis (concentric) or keeping a shared bottom line (eccentric).

How to choose it?

A reducing tee is used when the branch has a smaller diameter than the main line, the most common case. For reducers, concentric is the default choice; eccentric is needed when the line must keep a constant flat bottom — gravity flow, pump suction to avoid an air pocket.

Frequently asked questions

When should I choose an eccentric reducer over concentric?
When the line must keep a constant flat bottom — pump suction to avoid an air pocket, or gravity flow. Concentric is the default choice otherwise.
Does an equal tee exist in every dimension?
Within the common dimensions of the fittings pillar table, yes. For a dimension outside that range, describe your need in the quote request.
Are tees affected by the anti-dumping regulation?
